About Me
I was born in Omaha, Nebraska. When I was three years old, my family moved to Hazen, North Dakota where I have been ever since. I have two older brothers and am blessed to have a supportive and encouraging family. I graduated from Hazen High School in 2016. In high school, I was active in sports, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Coal Country Leadership Academy (CCLA), National Honors Society (NHS) and Student Council (as the class president). I began my college journey at the University of Mary where I am continuing my education to become a teacher.
My journey of becoming a teacher started in 5th grade. I remember sitting in class and our teacher asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. I sat there pondering and thinking about all the teachers who made me love school. My answer was a teacher. Ever since, I have had my goals set on becoming an inspiring teacher. My love for children and teaching grew through high school when I became a student aide for a first-grade class. I want to change the lives of children and help them grow and develop into the wonderful people they are.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, being at the lake, playing yard games, participating in sports activities, and being with family and friends. I also enjoy spending my time volunteering and helping out in the community. I am currently the president of UMary Student North Dakota United and am a member of SPURS (volunteer group).
